Countdown to Commencement 2025: Paige Denman
Paige Denman, a biochemistry major and Honors student, is this week’s featured senior in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Denman was nominated by Tiffany Nicholas, assistant director of student engagement.
Denman chose Fisher to find that feeling of home. The smaller class sizes and the ability to have personal relationships with teachers was a priority in choosing a college. Denman has had an immense impact in shaping the E-sports team and Gaming Club to where it is today. Being appointed as team lead and a student orientation coordinator for first-year students, Denman has proven to be incredibly reliable, kind, organized, and dedicated to the incoming students at Fisher. They also planned training sessions for the Orientation team and ran events throughout Orientation.
In her nomination, Nicholas emphasized that she has learned a lot from Denman. She noted, “I think Paige has helped me learn more about how to give students autonomy. They made me better understand that students in leadership positions can and should be trusted, and also be given room to make mistakes that they can learn from.”
In Denman’s time at Fisher, they said the work that has been most impactful on their experience is a biology research project that was completed with the help of Dr. Kevin Callahan, associate professor of chemistry. They had the opportunity to present this project in France at a convention.
Denman is extremely grateful for Fisher’s help in not only academic growth but also personal growth throughout their four years.
“Fisher has awarded me with knowledge in my studies, but just as importantly, Fisher has given me confidence in myself. I have gained the ability to learn how to take care of myself to not only be a better person to me, but everyone around me as well.”
