February 6, 2025

The Interdisciplinary Arts program will present the inaugural One-Act Play Festival at St. John Fisher University. The festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22 in the Black Box Theater at the Arts Center at Murphy Hall.

Fifteen students and five employees will act across eight plays that explore themes of revenge, the growth into adulthood, the afterlife, and the relationships between husband and wife and father and daughter.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore unfamiliar and exciting aspects of theater production,” said Jeremy Sarachan, an associate professor of media and communication and interdisciplinary arts, who serves as the festival’s producer. “The festival lays the groundwork for continued growth of theater at Fisher. We will be taking full advantage of the technology of the new Black Box Theater.”

Admission is free and the same program plays will be shown each evening.
