34 Graduate from Sport Management Program
On Saturday, May 11, the College celebrated the 65th Commencement at Blue Cross Arena where 34 sport management majors graduated and joined the growing network of alumni across the country.
Among those new alumni were student-athletes engaged in post-season play during the ceremony. To give these graduating seniors an opportunity to cross the stage and experience the pomp and circumstance that comes with Commencement, the College officially recognized their achievements during the inaugural Student-Athlete Commencement on Wednesday, May 8.
During the ceremony, sport management major and four-year member of the baseball team, Anthony Loussedes, delivered remarks on behalf of his class.
“Whatever path you are headed after today, whether it be graduate school, a career, or some other road less traveled, remember to always do it with excellence; as you did every time you stepped on the field, in the gym, in the weight room, or in the classroom,” he said.
At an awards ceremony hosted by the School of Arts and Sciences, sport management major Anna Therese Faso Miranda was honored for her academic excellence in the program.
