A Message from President Gerard J. Rooney

Congratulations and welcome to the Fisher family!

We are anticipating your family’s arrival in a few short weeks. We think your student has made a great decision in choosing Fisher and look forward to partnering with you and your student on this next educational chapter.

It wasn’t too long ago when my wife, Susan, and I came to the Fisher campus with two of our children to move them into their residence hall. I am happy to report that they thoroughly enjoyed their time at the College and both are in the Rochester area working in their fields of law and education as proud Fisher alumni.

Our entire campus community is committed to helping your student adjust through this first year at Fisher. We have exceptional people and an outstanding first-year program, designed not only to assist students in their transition to college, but also to acclimate them into the Fisher community and learn more about the history and values of the College. It is a program of which I am very proud, and I think your student will find it to be valuable, too.
