Lights, Camera, Action for one #Fisher2020 Graduate
For 2020 graduate Josh Ramos, life has been full of “lights, camera, action” ever since he earned his degree. The media and communication major, who minored in film and television studies, is now managing his own company as the producer of Wolf Cry Productions.
The company offers videography and photography services for weddings and other special events, as well as graphic design and animation services. Ramos said Fisher taught him the importance of networking and collaboration in order to find success in his field.
“That is something that normally is ‘expected’ for us to know but is now a skill I value,” he said.
He credits Dr. Todd Sodano, Cecil Felton, Professor Sarachan, and Professor Linda Moroney with recognizing his skills and abilities and then challenging him to go beyond expectations.
“Fisher has put me in front of a lot of important people in the media field. The connections I made through Fisher are the reasons why I do what I do. They built confidence in me and gave me opportunities to showcase my work,” he said.
Ramos plans to continue to promote his company and reach out to potential new clients. Most recently, Ramos is working with the College on the production of several educational videos related to the campus reopening.
One way he is hoping to more broadly advertise his company is to create a YouTube channel where he will offer reviews on equipment and provide some tips and tricks about photography and video production. He also hopes to be established enough where he can provide Fisher students with internships.
“Fisher has given me so many great opportunities and I hope I can do the same for the future students,” he said.
