Seminars Feature Inspiring Stories of Business Agility
The St. John Fisher College School of Business will host a series of seminars that share inspiring stories of leaders during a pandemic. These seminars, held at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays from July through August, feature interviews with regional business leaders who have quickly adapted and innovatively shifted their business strategies and operations to respond to challenges and seized opportunities of doing business during a pandemic.
Leaders from across different industries share how they are keeping their businesses operational, keeping their employees safe and motivated, and even developing new products while driving community-mindedness to new heights. The seminars are part of a leadership course in the School’s MBA program.
Business Agility Seminar Featuring David Pritchard
The session, Business Agility Seminar Featuring David Pritchard, will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, and features David Pritchard ’83, president and COO of Gorbel. Registration for the seminar is available online and a link to the zoom meeting will be distributed Wednesday afternoon.
A Fishers, New York based market leading material handling company, Gorbel’s employees have managed many aspects of the business to ensure first and foremost the safety of self and others, and provided extraordinary customer experiences – one of their core foundational values. Pritchard will provide a high-level overview of how Gorbel has exercised business agility by successfully managing through the COVID-19 era to this point, and how they will continue to use lessons learned since March 16 to shape their planning in the months ahead.
