Nursing Graduates Find Continued Success on Licensure Exam
Graduates of the Wegmans School of Nursing continue to outpace their peers in passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt.
The School’s second quarter pass rates are 97.14 percent, and the overall year-to-date rate is 94.22 percent. Fisher remains in the top five percent of all New York schools (the pass rate for New York State baccalaureate programs is 92.5 percent).
The NCLEX, administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, ensures entry-level nurses meet set requirements and demonstrate specific safety and care activity competencies before entering the practice.
“Our students’ success on the NCLEX is a testament to their hard work in the classroom and during their clinical experiences,” said Dr. Tricia Gatlin, dean of the Wegmans School of Nursing. “Additionally, our faculty work diligently to ensure that our nursing graduates are well-prepared for licensure and can provide exceptional patient-centered nursing care the moment they enter the workforce.”
