Fisher Staff, Faculty, Students Well Represented at 2024 PRism Awards

Fisher’s marketing and communications team, several media and communication students, and a faculty member earned top honors at the 2024 PRism Awards hosted by the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Five marketing and communications staff members display PRism awards

The awards program, held on Thursday, June 13, celebrate the best in public relations among Rochester-based practitioners and recognize complete public relations programs and tactical elements incorporating sound research, planning, execution, and evaluation. This year’s PRism entries were judged by industry professionals from the Las Vegas PRSA chapter.

Fisher’s marketing and communications team won the Not-For-Profit PRism in the website category for its work on the University’s 75th Anniversary website. In addition, Fisher’s senior viewbook was honored with the Not-For-Profit PRism in the publications category. In addition, the team’s work on the 75th Anniversary video, shown during special events throughout the 2023 celebratory year, received an Award of Excellence.

Students Ali Short ’24, Isabella Ray ’25, and Michaela Meleca ’24 received recognition in the Student Elements Evaluation category for their project, “Women’s Rights Happened Here.”

Arien Rozelle, assistant professor, was also honored with Educator of the Year Award by the Rochester PRSA Chapter. The recipient of this award is recognized for strengthening the communications industry through educating its future professionals.
