Fisher’s Athletic Department Among Top 18% in the Nation

St. John Fisher University placed in the top 18 percent in the 2023-2024 Learfield Director’s Cup standings. At No. 58 overall, Fisher again placed well among the nation’s 323 NCAA Division III programs.

The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup is a prestigious national honor that was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships. Overall, 18 sports are counted in the final DIII standings, four of which must be men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball. The next highest (14 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.

Fisher had seven programs earn points towards the Learfield Cup, including men’s lacrosse, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, men’s golf, softball, wrestling, and baseball.
