Rise Against Hunger at All-University Service Project
St. John Fisher University will host a service project for all members of the campus community to benefit Rise Against Hunger at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall.
Rise Against Hunger is a high-energy, large group activity where participants will measure, prepare, and package more than 20,000 meals for those in need around the world. During the meal packing event, students, faculty, staff, and alumni will work side-by-side in a hands-on, interactive way.
“Rise Against Hunger is a great way for us to connect together with the excitement and energy of a new academic term, our University commitment of service to others, and bridge the gap between one another with a common goal, conversation, and fun,” said Jonathan Schott, assistant director of campus ministry.
More than 100 volunteers are needed to accomplish the goal of packing 20,000 meals. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online.
The service project is co-sponsored by the Office of the President, Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, and Office of Campus Ministry. For more information, email jschott@sjf.edu.
