Jillian is the Assistant Director of the Health and Wellness Center overseeing administration of the counseling services and providing health promotion services to the campus community. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Deaf Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a proud graduate of Fisher having obtained her degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher in 2010. As a Mental Health Counselor Jillian has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient community mental health care, group treatment for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, emergency room psychiatric care, and in college health services. Throughout her career, Jillian maintained a passion for working with young adults which drew her to return to her alma mater to provide health services to the campus in 2015. Her counseling style is direct, empathetic, open-minded, and compassionate. She is dedicated to supporting and educating students about taking care of their mental and physical health.
Outside of work, Jillian enjoys crafting, reading, photographing her family, true crime podcasts, and documentaries. She is a huge fan of stand-up comedy and attends as many shows as she can. She enjoys spending time with her wife, daughter, and dog.
