Dr. Grams brings over two decades of extensive experience in nursing and healthcare to the Wegmans School of Nursing. With a career dedicated to advanced clinical practice through her vast clinical experience and deep knowledge, Dr. Grams holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and master’s in nursing from St. John Fisher University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester, where she graduated magna cum laude. 

Dr. Grams has been an integral part of the St. John Fisher University faculty since 2019, where she teaches advanced concepts of care for older adults, clinical seminars, and diagnostic assessment. She also instructs medical-surgical nursing and patient-centered care leadership courses for undergraduate students. In her role as clinical coordinator, Dr. Grams oversees clinical experiences ensuring that students receive comprehensive and practical training. Her responsibilities include hiring, training, and evaluating adjunct clinical instructors, as well as coordinating lab skills and performance. 

In addition to her academic role, Dr. Grams is a practicing nurse practitioner at Highland Hospital’s Geriatrics Department, where she provides onsite medical services in skilled facilities. Her clinical expertise spans managing acute and chronic illnesses, conducting detailed histories and physical exams, and developing treatment plans based on laboratory and diagnostic testing. Dr. Grams has also served in various capacities as a nurse practitioner at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, including Wilmot Cancer Center and the Medicine in Psychiatry Unit, where she managed complex patient populations with acute medical and psychiatric needs.

Dr. Grams is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and holds numerous certifications, including Drug Enforcement Administration and Critical Care Registered Nurse-Adult. She is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State.
