As chief enrollment officer, Jose Perales’ role as vice president for enrollment management is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Offices of Admissions (First-Year Admissions and Transfer and Graduate Admissions), Institutional Research, Intercollegiate Athletics, Registrar, and Student Financial Services. Working collaboratively with constituents across campus, he develops and ensures the effective implementation of University enrollment strategies and tactics to meet enrollment goals. He serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet and Senior Staff providing executive leadership and working to advance the strategic enrollment efforts of the University. Additionally, he serves as the athletics direct report to the president (ADR), providing oversight and support for intercollegiate athletics at the institutional, conference, and national levels. In his role, Jose Perales also serves as vice president liaison for the Strategic Enrollment Management and Intercollegiate Athletics Committee of the Board of Trustees and is the responsible contact for all matters, initiatives, and inquiries related to University enrollment.
Perales has over 25 years of experience as a leader in higher education. Prior to his appointment as vice president, he served the institution in various leadership roles, the most recent as the director of transfer and graduate admissions.
A proud alumnus, Perales graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor of Arts in History. During his undergraduate years, he was also a member of the men’s basketball team. He then went on to earn his master’s degree in management and strategic leadership from Roberts Wesleyan University. Perales is also a proud parent of a current Fisher student.
