Dr. Eric Ledwin joined St. John Fisher University in February 2024 as the founding program director for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Anesthesia Program. Transitioning from his role as Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director at the University at Buffalo Nurse Anesthesia Program, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into the newly developed program. With over a decade of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) he has dedicated his career to providing exceptional anesthesia care in the Greater Rochester area. Currently practicing at Highland Hospital providing primarily obstetric anesthesia care, he continues to ensure the highest standards of care for mothers and their newborns.
Before transitioning to nurse anesthesia, he worked at Highland Hospital for three years in the Intensive Care Unit. Additionally, he served his community as a paramedic in the Greater Rochester area for over 14 years, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to healthcare in the community.
As program director, Dr. Eric Ledwin is committed to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment, preparing the next generation of nurse anesthetists in Rochester and the surrounding communities.
