Pharm.D., St. John Fisher University
Dr. McDonald graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy from St. John Fisher University, Wegmans School of Pharmacy, in 2013. Following graduation, he began his career with Walgreens as a Pharmacy Manager in the Greater Rochester area. In 2014, he transitioned to inpatient pharmacy on the Med-Surg team at Strong Memorial Hospital, as part of the University of Rochester. Here he developed his focuses in cardiovascular, infectious disease, and psych-medicine. As part of his experiences at the University of Rochester, John also participated in precepting IPPE, APPE, and resident students.
Following his time at the University of Rochester hospital systems, Dr. McDonald returned to his role as a community pharmacist at Wegmans Food Markets. At Wegmans, Dr. McDonald developed his expertise in community pharmacy through diverse experience as a staff pharmacist, supervising pharmacist, division wellness coordinator, business partnership coordinator, and resident preceptor.
As a part of his professional passion projects, Dr. McDonald spends time developing his consultant business as well as his podcast, White Coats of the Round Table.
