03/17/2021 - This semester, a class of MBA students had the opportunity to meet virtually with an FBI accountant to learn first-hand what it takes to work as a forensic accountant for the government bureau. Thanks to Zoom, the group met with FBI Forensic Accountant Katharine Fehr, who outlined her job duties and discussed the qualifications and training necessary in her role.
03/15/2021 - This spring, the St. John Fisher College Family Business Initiative will offer webinars and workshops that explore family governance, transition planning, and storytelling to build family cohesion.
03/11/2021 - In a first of its kind sport management program, St. John Fisher College announces it will launch a fully-online Master of Science in Sport Management degree.
03/10/2021 - St. John Fisher College has announced a $1.6 million gift from alumnus Victor E. Salerno ’66 in support of the Victor E. Salerno, Sr. Scholarship.
03/08/2021 - St. John Fisher College received $125,000 from the Alvin F. and Ruth K. Thiem Foundation to support three scholarship programs.
03/05/2021 - Rochester native Madison Rooksby, a freshman marketing major who has a minor in professional sales, took it upon herself to turn a dream into a reality. From an early age, Rooksby has envisioned being a business owner; coming from a multigenerational family-owned business. Her father succeeded her grandfather in owning Safe Passage International, offering the motivation and inspiration to create her own beauty brand.
03/02/2021 - The St. John Fisher College School of Business will host a series of talks about current business topics featuring leaders from across different industries.
02/28/2021 - Earlier this month, St. John Fisher College’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) was recognized as an award-winning chapter for an “Outstanding Marketing Week.” Fisher is one of only eight out of more than 300 AMA chapters across North America to receive this honor.
02/22/2021 - Accounting and finance double major Matt Jeffries is the next member of the Class of 2021 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Jeffries was nominated by Hugh Lambert, assistant professor of accounting in the School of Business.
02/17/2021 - School of Business Interim Dean Dr. Carol Wittmeyer has always encouraged students to read the news and be knowledgeable about what is going on in the business world. This spring, Wittmeyer, along with the Dean's Student Advisory Council, developed a competition to entice students to read the news.
