Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)
NYSED states, "Individuals must complete the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) training workshop for educator certification in New York state. The training addresses harassment, bullying, and discrimination prevention and intervention in schools. The length of the training is at least six clock hours, with at least three clock hours completed in-person." (If you received this training through a school district in a one or two hour format, it does not meet the requirements for state certification.)
After taking the test, you must submit a copy of your DASA certificate of completion before you can be recommended for certification. New York state teacher/leader certificates will not be issued without proof of DASA training.
