10/05/2020 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy has welcomed three new residents to participate in the year-long pharmacy residency program to gain real-world experience in a vast array of clinical settings as consulting members of health care teams.

09/28/2020 - St. John Fisher College will create a new student support program for underrepresented minority or economically disadvantaged undergraduates studying STEM fields, thanks to a $400,000 grant from the New York State Education Department’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP).

09/14/2020 - For the tenth year in a row, St. John Fisher College has earned a place on the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” feature.

09/09/2020 - St. John Fisher College today announced the creation of the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence thanks to a $1 million gift from Jack ’73 and Donna DePeters. Jack retired from Wegmans Food Markets after 52 accomplished years of service to the food company, and in honor of his retirement, Wegmans matched the $1 million gift in December 2019.

09/07/2020 - This week, Fisher faculty have organized a teach-in as part of the national Scholar Strike movement designed to educate and encourage dialogue surrounding issues of police violence and racism.

08/31/2020 - This semester, St. John Fisher College is engaging in a wastewater surveillance program in all campus residence halls as part of its SARS CoV2 (COVID-19) detection and mitigation strategy.

08/31/2020 - This fall, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy opened its doors—virtually—to its first-ever cohort of students participating in the Fisher Pharm.D. Online pathway.

08/24/2020 - This August, five full-time faculty members will teach their first fall courses at St. John Fisher College.

08/20/2020 - Dr. Joy Snyder ’18 (Pharm.D.) was recently selected as an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) 2020 Walmart Scholar. Snyder, who is currently completing a fellowship program through the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, is one of only 65 individuals from across the nation to be awarded the scholarship.

07/22/2020 - Dr. Sarah Nicole Belz ’20 (Pharm.D.) has wasted no time putting her newly minted doctor of pharmacy degree to work. The Auburn, New York native graduated from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in May, and began a Post-Graduate Year 1 residency at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse just two months later.
