Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP)
CSTEP welcomes students into an inclusive, supportive community and prepares them for careers in STEM, New York State licensed professions, and health-related fields.
CSTEP Programming
CSTEP services include:
- Focused advisement and workshops connecting you to resources, opportunities, and preparation for accomplishing your academic, career, and personal goals.
- Support finding research opportunities and internships.
- Paid summer research experiences.
- Financial assistance for graduate entrance exam fees, test preparation, and licensing exams.
- Access to the Scholars Lounge to connect, de-stress, and study.
CSTEP Program Eligibility Requirements
You may apply to CSTEP if you:
- Have residency in New York State,
- Are a full-time student in a qualifying major,
AND - Meet low-income eligibility guidelines as determined by the New York State Education Department OR identify as African American, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American

Take the next step: Apply for Fisher’s CSTEP program. A staff member will contact you regarding your application status. Once approved, you will be invited to attend an orientation meeting for the program.
CSTEP is a grant-funded program sponsored by the New York State Department of Education, established in 1987.
