Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP)

CSTEP welcomes students into an inclusive, supportive community and prepares them for careers in STEM, New York State licensed professions, and health-related fields.

CSTEP Programming

CSTEP services include:

  • Focused advisement and workshops connecting you to resources, opportunities, and preparation for accomplishing your academic, career, and personal goals.
  • Support finding research opportunities and internships.
  • Paid summer research experiences.
  • Financial assistance for graduate entrance exam fees, test preparation, and licensing exams. 
  • Access to the Scholars Lounge to connect, de-stress, and study.

CSTEP Program Eligibility Requirements

You may apply to CSTEP if you:

  • Have residency in New York State,
  • Are a full-time student in a qualifying major,
    AND
  • Meet low-income eligibility guidelines as determined by the New York State Education Department OR identify as African American, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American
