10/25/2023 - The week of Monday, Nov. 6, St. John Fisher University will celebrate its first-generation students and alumni with a week full of lectures and events.
10/24/2023 - National mental health and motivational speaker Richard Taylor will deliver the lecture, “Taylormade Empowerment: Empowerment and Resilience,” at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Basil 135 at St. John Fisher University.
10/16/2023 - Lydia X. Z. Brown, a queer, disabled, and East Asian advocate, organizer, attorney, strategist, and writer, will deliver a talk on the intersections of identities in higher education. The talk, which is free and open to the campus community, begins at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in Basil 135 at St. John Fisher University.
10/16/2023 - The second annual Spirit of Identity Week, scheduled for Monday, Jan. 15 through Saturday, Jan. 20, will feature events and activities hosted by members of the campus community.

05/29/2023 - An innovative pilot program at St. John Fisher University aimed at diversifying the regional pipeline of teachers will now become a multi-year initiative, thanks to a grant from the William and Sheila Konar Foundation.

04/10/2023 - Biology and public health double major and Spanish for health/global health minor Mariangelis Gonzalez is the next member of the Class of 2023 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. Gonzalez was nominated by Dr. Rick DeJesus-Rueff, academic director of the First-Generation Scholars Program; Emily Colliss, assistant director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement; and Gabe Iturbides, TRIO Student Support Services program director.
03/20/2023 - To advance its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, St. John Fisher University has joined Belong, an inclusive learning consortium through the national Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).
03/15/2023 - Dr. Christopher Ortega, assistant professor of communication and media studies at SUNY Cortland, will deliver the talk, “Give Spike His Flowers: Over 30 Years of ‘Doing the Right Thing.’” The lecture takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, in Basil 135. It is free and open to the public.
