02/22/2023 - Dr. Humberto Terrones, Rayleigh Endowed Chair and professor of physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), will present the lecture, “The Fascinating Quantum World of 2-D Materials” as part of St. John Fisher University’s annual Robert and Janice Loss Science Lecture Series, established in 2003 to promote the study of sciences among youth.

02/08/2023 - St. John Fisher University has joined a worldwide network of over 11,800 academies by becoming a Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad), an effort that is part of the re-imagining of Fisher’s cybersecurity degree. Cisco is the world’s largest multinational, American-based digital communications corporation; the Networking Academy falls under their social responsibility initiatives.

01/16/2023 - Each year, faculty and staff nominate members of the graduating class for “Countdown to Commencement,” a video series which recognizes the accomplishments of soon-to-be-alumni of the University. Fisher News Highlights features a student every week of the spring semester, as we countdown to the Commencement celebration in May. The first student to be featured is CJ Leonardo, a biology major who was nominated by Drs. Kristin Picardo and Alexey Ignatchenko.
