04/30/2020 - The final week of my freshman year at Fisher has arrived. Looking back on this year, I have come to realize how blessed I am to say that I am a Fisher Cardinal. Fisher is such a beautiful place and we are all truly a “Fisher family.”

04/30/2020 - Fun. Exciting. Amazing. That’s how Tre’vonnte Holmes describes his first year at St. John Fisher College. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Holmes came to campus to pursue a degree in sport management. Along the way, he has engaged in some of Fisher’s best traditions and carved out his very own study space in Lavery Library.

Biology Professors Create Maker Space for Students Fisher's Maker Space

04/20/2020 - Drs. Michael Boller, Fernando Ontiveros-Llamas, and Johnathan Millen, all biology professors at St. John Fisher College, are working to create a Maker Space on campus for students. The goal is to provide the campus community with workshop space to flex their creative muscles to design and build.

While many of their planned events were canceled, they’re harnessing the connectivity of Zoom to hold a Virtual Voter Registration Drive, beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

Fisher Biologist Supports Aquatic Ecology Training for Middle and High School Teachers Students explore area water ecosystems with Dr. Mike Boller.

04/09/2020 - This summer, a group of middle and high school teachers will learn how to incorporate the study of Lake Ontario, and the streams and rivers that flow into it, into their curriculum. The new program—designed by a St. John Fisher College biology professor in collaboration with Genesee RiverWatch and Delta Environmental, Inc.—will connect teachers with tools and opportunities from local, state, and national resources.

04/01/2020 - You could say that Donavan Ruther ’20 has always envisioned himself at St. John Fisher College. Both his aunt and his brother are Fisher graduates; so when he finished his associate’s degree at Monroe Community College, it was easy to see himself on campus.
