11/18/2022 - St. John Fisher University students are teaming up to collect clothing, toys, and toiletries for non-profit organizations in the Rochester area. Donation collection will begin on Monday, Nov. 28 and run through Thursday, Dec. 8; bins will be placed throughout campus. Donated items for both organizations must be new.
11/17/2022 - Cybersecurity major and sport aficionado Cameron Dunn ’24 joined St. John Fisher University to play American football, a journey he made from his hometown of Livingston, Scotland.
11/17/2022 - In collaboration with St. John’s Meadows, first-year Learning Community (LC) students in the Chemistry of Love community-engaged learning (CEL) course have spent the semester learning about the seven types of love including friendship, agape, family, self, romantic, pragmatic, and obsessive.
11/15/2022 - Four students from the Department of Media and Communication participated in a public relations bootcamp competition, The Pitch, hosted on Sunday, Nov. 6. The competition was sponsored by the Rochester chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and hosted at Dixon Schwabl + Company.
11/11/2022 - In an effort to provide students in his Environmental Economics course with meaningful opportunities to extend classroom learning, Associate Professor of Economics and Department Chair, Dr. Clair Smith, has incorporated several Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) projects into his syllabus.
11/08/2022 - St. John Fisher University will celebrate Philosophy Day with the theme, “Marshall McLuhan’s Spiritual Vision for a Virtual Age,” to be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel.
11/01/2022 - In collaboration with Rochester Ecology Partners (REP), students in the Sport & Recreation Management community-engaged learning (CEL) course have spent the semester developing brochures for future park events and event programs to increase community engagement with the natural environment.
