11/12/2024 - Last spring, Emma Muchow, a junior media and communication major, and Marissa Terech, a junior Spanish and early education dual major, began the process of creating and publishing a children’s bilingual poetry book, Pig Tales and Poemas with Mia la Cerdita.
11/11/2024 - In what was considered one of the most pivotal presidential races in American history, this election season was marked by many ‘firsts,’ including America’s first woman of color presidential nominee. In addition, members of Gen Z, including many at Fisher, participated in a presidential election for the first time, coming of voting age just this year.
11/06/2024 - Certified acupuncturist Christine (Welzmueller) Cronin ’95 has served as the executive director of the non-profit Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) for the past two years.
10/24/2024 - This spring, students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to participate in a one-act play festival in the new Black Box Theater in the Arts Center in Murphy Hall.
10/23/2024 - Each year, St. John Fisher University students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in The Clothesline Project, a national program that addresses the issue of gender-based violence.
10/23/2024 - This summer, Dr. Matthew Bereza, psychology professor and chair of the Behavioral Sciences Division at St. John Fisher University, published a textbook in collaboration with peers Dr. Lisa Kahle-Piasecki and Dante Castro Solano.
10/22/2024 - During a special ceremony, St. John Fisher University honored 15 graduates who have found success in their careers and have been influential in serving their communities. The celebration recognized Dean’s Medal recipients from each of the five Schools and graduates of the last decade with the Ten Under 10 Awards.
10/18/2024 - Dmitry Bykov, a well-known Russian poet, novelist, journalist, and public intellectual, will discuss his latest book about Vladimir Zelensky during a lecture at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, in the Elaine Wilson Formal Lounge.
10/04/2024 - A new exhibit at the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery at St. John Fisher University explores coming-of-age in a digital culture through the vibrancy of watercolor and ink wash paintings.
09/30/2024 - This past summer, St. John Fisher University created the new Athletic Performance Lab to support students majoring in athletic performance. Launched only two years ago, the major has gained traction quickly and is an addition to the School of Arts and Science’s life sciences division.
