06/03/2021 - Each year, St. John Fisher College honors graduating seniors for their academic successes. Among the Class of 2021, six students who graduated in December 2020 and May 2021 were recognized for exceptional academic performance. These are the highest honors bestowed to baccalaureate students during their time at the College.
06/01/2021 - Dr. Maryann Herman, associate professor of biology at St. John Fisher College, has been awarded a Mid-Career Mentor Award from the Biology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research. This national award honors biology mentors for their sustained efforts in supervising undergraduate research students.
05/24/2021 - Sophomore Lauren Swartz of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team became the College's first-ever Elite 90 award recipient. She was honored on Friday, May 21, during the NCAA Division III National Championship, held in Salem, Va.
05/09/2021 - This Commencement season, three members of the St. John Fisher College faculty were named recipients of the College’s most prestigious scholarship and teaching honors.
05/08/2021 - In her speech to members of the School of Arts and Sciences Class of 2021, graduate Mary Grace Shine reflected on the memory of officially matriculating at the College in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center Fieldhouse, remarking on how fitting it seemed to complete her journey in the same room four years later.
04/26/2021 - The final member of the Class of 2021 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement series” is media and communication major, Riley Moscicki.
04/21/2021 - On Friday, April 16, the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics inducted its eighth cohort of students into Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society.
04/19/2021 - More than 1,000 students will graduate from St. John Fisher College during its 67th Commencement celebration, which features a series of in-person School-based ceremonies from Thursday, May 6 through Saturday, May 8.
04/16/2021 - For the fifth year, St. John Fisher College will celebrate students excelling with their own independent projects during the annual Student Research and Creative Work Symposium. Undergraduate and graduate student scholars will begin sharing their work on Wednesday, April 28.
04/06/2021 - Dr. Edward Freeman, associate professor of biology at St. John Fisher College, received a $10,000 grant from the Wyman-Potter Foundation to support his research on the impact of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) on obesity.
